Lyndon Cantor

Prior to joining Sandvine, Lyn most recently served as President of Tektronix Communications (a Danaher Company) during which he helped lead and grow the business to the #1 leadership position (42% share) in a $1.3B segment. While at Tektronix, Lyn’s scope was full P&L accountability of the multi-national business with over $460M in revenue, 27% operating profit and 1,300+ associates.
Over the course of his 30-year career, Lyn has accumulated a broad executive leadership background in the Telecom, Enterprise and Information Technology software industries ranging from Fortune 200 and Mid-Cap ($1B+) companies (including Visual Network Systems, Inet Technologies, QMS / Minolta and C.Itoh Electronics) as well as experience taking a private company through a very successful IPO and ultimately to a market leadership position. In addition to his earlier career learnings, Lyn’s eight years of service in Danaher and exposure to their DBS methodology provides a great set of experiences using specific and relevant lean tools and techniques to help sustainably drive growth, improve business processes, strengthen product reliability and internal operations.

Mark joins Sandvine from Tektronix Communications (a Danaher Company) where he was the VP Operations with responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, commercial marketing, and adoption of the Danaher Business System of lean and growth tools. Previously he was VP Solutions (engineering, service and delivery), VP Products (product management and engineering), and VP/GM for a rapidly growing $250M business unit.
During 8 years on the Tektronix Communications executive team, Mark saw operating margin increase 5 fold, and operating profit increase more than an order of magnitude. The Danaher Business System tools were a key enabler of this performance. Mark led Strategic Planning, Policy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, Structured Problem Solving, Growth Assessments, Funnel Management, and various other growth and profitability initiatives.
Prior to joining Tektronix Communications, Mark spent 18 years with Nortel Networks where he held leadership roles in engineering and product management, including VP PLM for the GSM Access and VoIP/IMS businesses. He has led and built global teams of 50-1000 and has worked in Canada, Europe and the US. Mark holds BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Waterloo, Canada and is co-author of two patents.

Alexander Haväng
Chief Technical Officer
Alexander Haväng is the CTO of Sandvine and is responsible for the company's strategic technology direction. Haväng is widely known and a respected authority in the open source community, and is the lead architect for Sandvine's industry-recognized, active network intelligence solutions. Earlier in his career, Haväng was one of the chief architects for the open source streaming server software Icecast, along with the secure file transfer protocol GSTP. He spent the early part of his career at IDA systems, an IT solution provider for the Swedish government, along with a stint in the Swedish military. Haväng studied computer science at the Linköping University in Sweden.

As CFO, Richard provides Sandvine with over 17 years of financial and management expertise in technology, software and telecommunications to the company.
Prior to joining Sandvine, he served as VP, Finance and CFO for Tektronix Communications (a Danaher Company), a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation. During his tenure as CFO of Tektronix Communications, the company’s revenue grew at 13% CAGR to greater than $450M and operating profits expanded at 27% CAGR to greater than $125M. He played significant roles in acquiring 4 companies resulting in approximately $500M of deployed strategic capital. Prior to Tektronix Communications, he also held significant financial management roles at Inet Technologies and Sterling Software.
He holds a MBA in Finance from Texas Christian University and a BBA in Finance from Midwestern State University.

Samir has twenty nine years of experience in communications industry and was most recently VP & GM of New Markets BU at Netscout. Prior to it, he was VP of Products & Portfolio Management for both Service Provider and Enterprise businesses. He was instrumental in successfully harmonizing portfolio of disparate businesses from Netscout’s acquisition of Danaher’s communication platform. He has held several key leadership positions in the company over last 18 years including Product Management, Channel Sales and Product & Commercial Marketing.  Samir has worked in various capacities at Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent in Engineering and Services organizations.  He holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Tom Carter
Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Tom Carter brings over 25 years of sales and leadership experience selling strategic technology and solutions in the telecommunications industry, and is responsible for extending Sandvine’s virtualization and cloud offerings by driving growth on a global scale. Carter has a strong history of driving revenue growth with tier one telecom operators. Prior to joining Sandvine, he was VP of Worldwide Service Provider Sales for F5 Networks. He’s also held senior executive positions at Truphone, Clarity Communications, and Bridgeport Networks. Carter’s role will encompass driving Sandvine’s overall sales objectives, capitalizing on his extensive experience in go-to-market sales execution, management, and professional services. Tom Carter holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta, Canada with a double major in Finance and Marketing.

As VP Global Human Resources, Tonjia is responsible for Sandvine’s people strategy. She and her team deliver a range of outstanding HR services in support of the company’s growth strategies. Tonjia brings over twenty years of experience in Human Resources to Sandvine. Prior to joining the company, Tonjia was Vice President, Human Resources at Integer Holdings Corporation. There she held multiple roles where she was able to leverage her change and process management expertise as the company underwent a significant transformation driven by multiple mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Integer, Tonjia spent more than 15 years accumulating comprehensive human resources generalist and specialist skills with Smith & Nephew and General Electric. Tonjia holds a master’s degree in from Xavier University in Human Resources Development and an undergraduate degree in Public Relations from Western Kentucky University.

Alan Petry
Senior Vice President of Customer Success
Alan Petry is Sandvine’s Senior Vice President of Customer Success, leading all post-sales activities for the company and working with customers to support the deployment and usage of Sandvine’s Active Network Intelligence solutions. Prior to joining Sandvine, Alan has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the telecom industry, holding various senior executive positions, including at Ericsson, Nokia Siemens, and AT&T Mobility. His most recent experience was at Ericsson as the VP & COO Managed Services, where Alan managed Tier 1 strategic customer engagements and led delivery on a full spectrum of managed services for telecom clients.
