NTT DATA seeking to gain network application visibility throughout its enterprise network
FREMONT, Calif., November 18, 2013 — Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the global Internet Intelligence company, today announced that their Network Application Visibility Library (NAVL) has been selected by NTT DATA Corporation for development of a network traffic analytics product. NTT DATA’s solution will provide enterprises with data forensics, network security, network monitoring, traffic analysis and Big Data processing. NTT DATA will be leveraging NAVL as the DPI engine of choice, as they look to gain visibility into how enterprise networks are being used. Procera’s ability to deliver Internet Intelligence for today’s rapidly evolving network applications landscape was the driving force behind the selection.
"NTT DATA is a leading company in the global IT services industry, providing clients with cutting edge technologies and services, such as the development of large-scale social infrastructure and information systems," said James Brear, president and CEO at Procera Networks. “NTT DATA’s selection of NAVL as the engine of choice for their probe development demonstrates the power behind Procera’s technology, and also represents an important new customer for Procera in Japan.”
"We are excited about NAVL's prospects in the Japanese market,” said Derek Lownsbrough, vice president of Research and Development at Procera. “Our extreme performance, exceptional accuracy, and minimal memory footprint continue to drive our success in this and other demanding markets around the world."
NAVL is the industry's most powerful Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine, providing real-time Layer-7 classification of network application traffic. Delivered as a software development kit (SDK) and designed for quick integration into enterprise and telecommunication network infrastructure platforms, NAVL provides application visibility and Internet Intelligence enabling developers of all types of networking and IT solutions to enforce policy, control application admission, report on trends and analyze network data for their enterprise and service provider customers.
