Delivers best-in-breed Internet intelligence virtualization solutions on HP/Intel platforms
FREMONT, Calif., February 20, 2014 — Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the global Internet Intelligence company, today announced that it has joined the SPECTRUM ecosystem program created by HP and Intel to accelerate the deployment of solutions for advanced telecommunications networks. Procera will leverage HP and Intel technology as a preferred platform for its Virtual PacketLogic™ Network Function Virtualization (NFV) solutions. The combination of best-in-breed platforms from HP and Intel are a natural fit with the high performance software solutions offered by Procera for network service providers.
“Our customers are looking for high performance solutions,” said Alexander Haväng, CTO of Procera Networks. “By partnering with HP and Intel, Procera’s PacketLogic solutions can maintain our high performance even in virtualized deployments by leveraging HP and Intel’s best-in-breed solutions.”
“Network Service Providers seek platforms that deliver carrier-class performance for NFV data plane services,” said Werner Schaefer, vice president of network functions virtualization at HP. “Procera’s solutions enable network operators to launch advanced services with decreased time-to-market using NFV by leveraging HP and Intel’s platforms.”
SPECTRUM is a community of hardware and software developers that focuses on solutions to challenges in the telecommunications market segment. It provides cross-community collaboration on development and optimization of ISV solutions on commercial off-the-shelf platforms for telecommunications workloads. SPECTRUM enables telecommunication companies to accelerate their time to market for both physical and virtual networking equipment as well as telecom data centers, replacing proprietary platforms with quick-to-deploy solutions on HP ProLiant servers using Intel® Xeon® processors.
Procera will be demonstrating its NFV solutions running on HP and Intel platforms at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 24-27 at stand #5J30. A whitepaper describing the joint HP-Intel-Procera solution is available at http://www.proceranetworks.com/products/packetlogic-platforms.
