Samir Marwaha joins from rival analytics specialist Netscout, a company he joined following its acquisition of Tektronix (we did say consolidation in this areas has been ongoing for years). Marwaha knows Sandvine CEO Lyn Cantor, as Cantor himself is an ex-Tektronix leader.
So now we have these two sizeable entities in intelligent network data analytics - one led by ex-Tektronix personnel and the other formed of a combined Netscout/Tektronix product set. Both companies are talking the “virtualised networks and services automation” talk. Game, increasingly, is on.
