The Opportunity 
Reporting to the CMO, this position will be responsible for the creation and implementation of Marketing Plan aligned to corporate strategy. The candidate will be responsible for marketing campaigns (sales and NPI awareness), sales/channel training and certification, develop Internet Phenomena assets, marketing communications and digital one-to-one and one-to-many engagements in Communications Service Provider space. Launch solutions and campaigns internally and externally.

This role will provide key inputs in the strategic planning cycle, operationalize marketing activities towards key outcomes, measure trends with metrics, and drive countermeasures and action plans towards the desired outcomes. Ability to deal with ambiguity, change, evolution and disruption.


The Job 

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to implement the strategy
  • Operationalize marketing plan with metrics monitored with a regular cadence
  • Creative, strategic and opportunistic sales campaigns and customer-awareness campaigns to promote Sandvine solutions
  • Clear and concise messaging for our key incumbent and target customers
  • Standardized content for each sales stage-gate based on customer segmentation
  • Prioritize marketing projects, budget and resources
  • Design and coordinate digital engagement with customers, sales and channel partners
  • Continued thought leadership with Internet Phenomena and key events
  • Clear high level messaging on our website designed to get new customer relationships
  • SEO optimization for keywords in our space
  • Limited and impactful PR strategy and implementation
  • Quarterly analysis of competitive dynamic changes and synthesis from earnings reports
  • Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals


Functional responsibilities

  • Outbound Marketing – Digital and physical engagement with customers and potential customers through events and one-on-one cadence as a priority, and then awareness in the industry at large
  • Strategic Marketing – Work with VP Market Segments to monitor market, customer and competitive dynamics, and proactively adjust marketing campaigns to execute on strategic market plan.
  • Product Marketing – NPI launches, bringing our solution benefits and differentiators clearly in our collateral and presentations. Review and coordinate “customer playbooks” with Market Segment Leaders based on customer access type (mobile/satellite and fixed/cable) pushing Sandvine platforms/capacity and prepackaged use cases.
  • Sales & Channel Enablement – Training, certification, onboarding and interlock sessions with sales and sales engineering with providing right content at right time. Continued updates on Sales Playbook working with each MSL team. Propagate ROI models to enable sales teams during sales cycle.
  • Competitive Analysis – Monitor changes in competitive dynamics as per our market segmentation with traditional and disruptive players and design strategies and campaigns to be offensive and defensive.
  • Marketing Operations – cadence on daily work that is outcome driven and measure progress through metrics and communicate status of key initiatives (along with countermeasures with executive staff)


What Skills You Bring
 

  • Proven work experience as a VP of Marketing or Marketing Director at a large technology organization or other senior role
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Digital Engagement
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
  • BS degree (MBA preferred) in Marketing, Business, Communications or relevant field
