The Opportunity

As a Software Manager for our Analytics team, you will lead, manage, and mentor an engineering team developing the next generation of our Analytics and Insights solutions running on Public & Private Clouds, Virtual, COTS, and Appliances.  Our Analytics solutions leverage modern data processing & database technologies, and machine learning/AI algorithms to derive hidden insights from data. We are looking for experienced software development manager who not only enjoys working with people but also has technical skills to coach & mentor the team. 

You are an accomplished hands-on leader that can solve complex technical challenges while also capable of inspiring others and fostering a collaborative and sustainable team culture. You will partner up with cross functional team members in UX, Product Management, Product Marketing and Customer Success to create and maintain Analytics related products. You have a passion for building high quality software on-time all the time and you keep up with latest trends and best practices in the industry.

The Job

  • Mentor and manage a team of engineers (embedded and back end/database) throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Define, develop, deliver and maintain a variety of software applications
  • Responsible for overall planning, execution and successful delivery of projects with quality on-time all the time
  • Responsible for delivering on all commitments on-time all the time with quality
  • Responsible for new innovations and efficiency improvements
  • Contribute to architecture, requirements and designs
  • Continuous improvement is part of our DNA, you are encouraged to find new ways of doing things that will continuously improve daily work for the team
  • Responsible for performance management and coaching of the team members.

This position would be based in Bengaluru, India.

What skills you bring

  • Bachelor’s or Masters (or equivalent) degree in Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of work experience in Software Industry
  • 5+ years as a manager of a cross-functional engineering team
  • 5+ years of hands on software development expertise
  • 1+ years of experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum
  • Demonstrable knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Prior experience in delivering scalable & robust software products
  • Fluency in one or more programming languages including but not limited to C++ and Python
  • Experience with any columnar database is an asset
  • Experience with Cloud technologies is a plus
  • Passion for people, performance improvement and team building
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities.
