The opportunity: 
In your role as a Technical Leader you’ll be working with the smartest and dynamic bunch of engineers, working on products and features that enable Sandvine to be the market leader. The role calls for a get-it-done mindset to adhere to core Sandvine engineering principle of always-be-delivering and do-it-right-the-first-time.

The Job
  • You are one of the smartest people on the planet
  • Responsible for providing technical leadership to the project team
  • Responsible for coming up with new feature and product ideas based on market requirements and next gen technologies
  • Be part of specification document review team and provide you inputs
  • Enjoy solving complex, system level problem
  • Willing to learn a variety of network protocols, learning from specification documents and RFC
  • A genuine interest in technology/code quality and demonstrating code ownership
  • Mentoring young engineers to next level.
  • Ensure product adheres to Engineering standards
  • Liaison between Project, Product Management and Architecture teams
  • Sign-off on SRS, SDD, STP deliverables
  • Ensure process adherence for all features and the project
  • Ensure quality of end-user documentation
  • Ensure Customer Advocacy team is appropriately trained
 
What skills you bring
  • 8+ years’ experience in developing telecom application software
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++
  • 3+ years’ experience in designing telecom application software
  • Working knowledge of PCRF/OCS/PGW, Diameter based protocols (Gx/Gy/Sy/Rf), SOAP, REST.
  • Working knowledge of 3G, LTE technologies.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting using GDB, Profiling tools for CPU and memory.
  • Working experience in Virtualization is desirable.
  • Working experience in Java or PHP or Perl or TCL or Python or similar scripting languages is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements and increase productivity
  • Demonstrated ownership over a specific area of technology in the telecom
  • Demonstrated the plan of action for pushing the technology forward
  • Proven excellence in team, interpersonal and communication skills
