Assistant Corporate Controller

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role will manage the day-to-day accounting operations of a multinational company, including supervision of four accounting staff and coordination with international subsidiary activities.
 
The Job
  • Oversee the monthly and quarterly close process including intercompany consolidations and eliminations
  • Plan, develop and implement effective accounting strategies in accordance with evolving regulatory, legal and governmental requirements and industry trends
  • Maintain the integrity of the internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act
  • Develop and monitor effective policies and procedures for the company
  • Oversight of AR, AP, GL, Consolidations, Collections and Equity Administration/Accounting processes  
  • Assist with process improvement efforts including streamlining close process and continuing improvements to ERP system
  • Help manage reporting functions, including preparation of financial statements, assistance with internal reporting, and preparation of Audit Committee schedules 
  • Serve as central point of contract for annual audit
  • Assist with due diligence and purchase accounting activities, including reporting out to the company’s senior management team
  • Leading teams responsible for the integration of systems and processes of newly acquired entities into Procera
  • Provide technical accounting support as needed in complex accounting areas such revenue recognition, tax accounting, and purchase accounting.  This includes working with the various departments to implement agreed-upon resolutions
  • Build cross-functional working relationships within the company
What skills you bring
  • CPA preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 8+ years of experience in both public accounting & publicly held technology company preferred
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Exposure to software, manufacturing and inventory accounting preferred
  • Highly motivated and able to perform his/her job duties independently and effectively
  • Enthusiastic and results oriented with the ability to drive continuous improvement in business and financial processes and procedures
  • Have strong systems background; experience with Netsuite and/or SAP preferred
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong desire to be a team player
