The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Human Resources for APAC will be part of a global HR team situation in a high growth market. Setting up the regional HR operations and further assist the business in driving forward. You will work closely locally, regionally and globally on various HR implementation and mirror other successful business to assist in the APAC operations. You would also act as a HR Advisor to key business leaders and the senior management in all HR related matters. You would also be highly involved in multiple HR integration projects to help in streamlining the business operations.

The Job
  • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources for Sandvine APAC.  Included in the area but not limited only to the following would be programs and practices for employee relations, employee complaints, education and career development that ensure compliance with all local, state and federal standards.
  • Develop project plans and budgets quantifying HR value added contributions.  Facilitate cross-functional teams to complete projects.  Monitor and review projects and project implementation process for continuous improvements.
  • Conduct investigations relating to compliance and performance issues.
  • Provide guidance through knowledge of the key employment law issues and support clients relating to employee performance.
  • Partner with Recruitment leader and business leaders to understand priorities and needs to build the talent strategy for Sandvine APAC.  Regularly share key metrics such as turnover, retention, staffing, and diversity efforts to build a proactive talent plan.
  • Work closely to ensure alignment within the existing employee programs e.g. on-boarding, performance management etc.
What skills you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA or Master’s equivalent preferred; AND
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of broad based HR experience required in Human Resources Management that should include generalist duties, benefits, employee relations, recruitment and training/development. 
  • Thorough knowledge of local and regional employment legislation
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with all levels of management.
  • Responsive to customer needs.
  • Flexible/adaptive to rapid change.
  • Ability to work across the organization in a consultative manner to achieve results, and has ideally worked in a large organization requiring the ability to establish credibility
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Must maintain a strong sense of integrity, confidence and honesty.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
