The opportunity 

In your role as a Sr. QA Engineer you’ll be working with the smartest and dynamic bunch of engineers, working on products and features that enable Sandvine to be the market leader. The role calls for a get-it-done mindset to adhere to core Sandvine engineering principle of always-be-delivering and do-it-right-the-first-time.
 
The Job
  • Deliver uncompromising quality features for a product line that comprises of 5 products.
  • Lead planning activities for qualification of customer deliverable.
  • Smart automation from a solution perspective
  • Devise test strategies for early defect detection & coordinate actions towards cutting down on customer escapes
  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting the integrated solution under test.
  • Assisting in project risk analysis, testing scope and scheduling
  • Ability to work independent and collaborative
  • Development of reusable tools for test automation and identify new methods for automation
  • Work closely with Architects, Tech Leads, and Software Engineers to understand the testing requirements.
  • Agility while multi-tasking
 
What skills you bring
  • BE or ME (or equivalent degree) degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years of work experience in a software testing and verification or a related field
  • Experience developing automated tests and test automation software using scripting languages such as TCL / iTCL or Python
  • Working knowledge of PCRF/OCS/PGW, Diameter based protocols (Gx/Gy/Sy/Rf), SOAP, REST.
  • Working knowledge of 3G, LTE technologies
  • Working experience in Virtualization is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, etc.) and networking devices
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes including development of Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Strategies
  • Experience analyzing network/telecom protocols using tools such as Wire shark, Ethereal
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
