The Opportunity

The Director Human Resources, EMEA will manage and mentor a junior HR team member, lead and support the strategic HR initiatives, revamp and build out processes and best practices. Focus will be placed on the implementation of impactful organizational practices, programs and initiatives to support the attraction of top talent, while increasing team member engagement and retention for a global organization.

The Job
  • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources for Sandvine EMEA.  Included in the area but not limited only to the following would be programs and practices for employee relations, employee complaints, education and career development that ensure compliance with all local, state and federal standards.
  • Develop project plans and budgets quantifying HR value added contributions.  Facilitate cross-functional teams to complete projects.  Monitor and review projects and project implementation process for continuous improvements.
  • Conduct investigations relating to compliance and performance issues.
  • Provide guidance through knowledge of the key employment law issues and support clients relating to employee performance.
  • Partner with Recruitment leader and business leaders to understand priorities and needs to build the talent strategy for Sandvine EMEA.  Regularly share key metrics such as turnover, retention, staffing, and diversity efforts to build a proactive talent plan.
  • Work closely to ensure alignment within the existing employee programs e.g. on-boarding, performance management etc.
What skills you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA or Master’s equivalent preferred; AND
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of broad based HR experience required in Human Resources Management that should include generalist duties, benefits, employee relations, recruitment and training/development. 
  • Thorough knowledge of the federal and state employment laws
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with all levels of management.
  • Responsive to customer needs.
  • Flexible/adaptive to rapid change.
  • Ability to work across the organization in a consultative manner to achieve results, and has ideally worked in a large organization requiring the ability to establish credibility
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Must maintain a strong sense of integrity, confidence and honesty.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
  • Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
