|If you look at the carrier networks there are really two elements that are prime for virtualization. For the mobile operators, it's all about the ability for them to collapse their evolved packet core and use that as an opportunity to be able to deliver new services to their customers, make themselves more agile in delivering those services and drive the cost of those services down. Now for the fixed operators, it's really about the ability for them to collapse the footprint at the edge of the operators infrastructure and deliver services in a more consistent fashion to their customers. Now, for Procera our focus has been to make NFV real for our customers. That's through being able to deliver technologies that are highly performant and deliver the same set of capabilities regardless of whether they're delivered in hardware, software, or as a virtualized network function. So, we believe that NFV is real. We're seeing that reality today because we have customers that are already deploying our technology in virtualized instances within production environments both within the US and globally.|
