Video: Mobile Subscriber Experience Result
Hi, Procera here! We are passionate about broadband Subscriber Experience and know that we can make a big difference with our solutions. Recently we asked mobile users around the world how satisfied they are with the service they pay for. The results clearly show that mobile operators still have a lot of work to do! Even though they might provide coverage pretty much everywhere nowadays, this is no longer enough. 60% of the respondents’ felt they do not have continued coverage for high-speed access. Subscribers experience this for example in that they might be able to read their favorite newspaper’s website, but watching Video Clips there will not work. 9 our of 10 experience poor video EVERY DAY, while 80% find it critical to have continues high-speed coverage! This is an opportunity that Operators probably don’t even know about. Because nearly half of the respondents said they will NEVER report their bad experiences to the customer services department, and another 40% will only do so if they are very, very upset. Clearly Operators need tools to both measure and Enhance the Subscriber Experience, as we believe quality will be a key differentiator. Procera conducted its own Mobile Subscriber Experience Survey and received both some expected and some surprising results. For example, about 90% of the survey respondents experience video quality problems every day!
More than 540 consumers responded to Procera’s Mobile Subscriber Experience Survey, with 30% coming from the U.S., 35% from Europe and 35% from the rest of the world totaling 62 countries in all.
