This week we're showing off a joint solution with one of our key partners, Procera Networks, at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. The show runs through Thursday, February 27th. If you're in the area, please come on by Procera's booth or Opera's booth, both in Hall 5, and we'll gladly give you more details and show you how we efficiently work together to prove how an open, virtualized, standards-based architecture allows the SDN/NFV vision to be realized more quickly by mobile operators, while tackling the explosive boom in bandwidth-busting OTT video on operator networks worldwide.
Our partnership with Procera is aimed at tackling this rapid growth of video traffic on global mobile networks, and is based on an open, scalable ICAP architecture. We've partnered with Procera to create a flexible, deployment-ready solution around Procera's PacketLogicTM Intelligent Policy Enforcement platforms that enables mobile operators to accelerate their move toward virtualized, software-defined network architectures, and to provide deeper functional integration for advanced traffic steering of video content.
This joint solution brings Procera’s leadership in intelligent policy enforcement together with our cloud-based mobile video optimization solution, Rocket Optimizer. Procera's Advanced Traffic Steering uses highly granular and accurate criteria to determine when and what video should be optimized. We have seen through extensive testing and work together that this lightweight, flexible solution provides rapid scalability and quick time to market that is unprecedented in the industry, while providing over 2 times the boost in network capacity versus competing solutions by optimizing virtually all types of video traffic – including network-clogging HD video.
Our joint solution is tailor-made for the new flexible, configurable, hyper-aware and QoE-centric network model, and isn't that where you (and your customers) want to be now and in the future?
