The annual RSA Security Conference wrapped up last week in San Francisco. This is one of the biggest shows of the year for the network security industry. Attendees learn about the latest security threats to networks and network data and how to prevent breaches. The exhibit hall spread out over 2 halls at the Moscone Center and vendors were showcasing the latest equipment and techniques for handling security threats.
One of the coolest areas of the conference was the RSA Sandbox. A quick wander through this hall allowed you to not only see security technology in action, but to get your hands on it to try it out yourself! My favorite was the Digital Crime Lab, where a crime scene had been recreated, complete with the yellow caution tape. You could walk around and see if you could find clues to help solve the mystery. What does this have to do with security you might be thinking? The best part of this display was that you could jump onto a forensic computer and start going through all the data collected from the different devices in the room – even ones that had been “wiped”. The amount of data available helped the forensic team solve the case! It was amazing to see just how much information is collected on the devices people use every day.
Procera was at the RSA Conference to showcase our NAVL Deep Packet Inspection engine, along with our PacketLogic/V software. NAVL 4.3 was released on April 14th and it was awesome to show off the impressive performance gains we were able to achieve, all while minimizing computing resources needed. Take a look at our demos in the wrap up video below.
Another successful RSA for Procera is in the books! What was your favorite moment of RSA 2015?
Watch the video below to learn more about what Procera showcased at RSA 2015!
Hey Everyone, we're here at the RSA Security Conference and the show's almost wrapped up for the week. We thought we'd give you a little bit of highlights of what the show is about and what Procera's been doing at the show. First of all, RSA is all about security, so people who are here are learning more about what's going on in the security industry today. Different ways that you can help secure your networks and secure your data. So why is Procera here? Well, why don't we show you. First we'll hear hear from Roop Singh, our Senior SE for our NAVL product. NAVL is a deep packet inspection embedded engine that helps identify network traffic as it's flowing across in real time. Let's hear what Roop has to say.
Hey, I'm Roop Singh, Senior Sales Engineer for the Procera NAVL team. We're here at RSA 2015 to demonstrate our NAVL software. Over the last few months, we have added 50 percent performance gains across our Intel and DPDK partner products. In this summary right here, you can see 90 gigabytes of throughput, being processed for DPI in real time. We are able to break down applications and provide the best value for our customers. We have each application here being broken down by packets, bytes and flows. You can see that each application stacks upon the other to provide details about what your network is doing.
Procera is also showcasing our Packetlogic/V virtualization product. Let's hear from Peter Salanki, our Product Solutions Specialist, on Procera's NFV Elements product.
I'm Peter Salanki, for the Product Management Team. I'll give you a quick look at our new product, Elements. It's a centralized management solution to ease operational headaches for an operator of a large setup. In this case, we have an operator primarily based out of airports all around the world. We can drill down to specific sites. See as in this case, things are orange, meaning that something is missing. It's bigger, or something is misconfigured. But it's not red. It's not urgent. We can go even deeper and see that the issue is that they have not updated a signature bundle. Procera releases a signature bundle once every week with new application identification. We're the market leader in this field and of course we want to make new bundles as often as we can. Elements will help you deploy this as fast as possible, to all of your systems without affecting the individual system. All you have to do is select the systems you want to update, hit the fix button here and the system's automatically updated. No more action needed.
So that's it for RSA. We've had a great show here today, so if you came by our booth, thank you for stopping by and chatting with us. If you missed us and want to learn more about either our NAVL product or our Packetlogic/V, please visit our website at www.proceranetworks.com. Thanks.
