It was great experience for Procera Networks to participate in the RSA Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco this past week. We had the opportunity to meet with dozens of companies, new and old, inquiring about our technology. Procera's demonstrations of Network Application Visibility Library (NAVL) in high-performance applications drew great interest from the many customers and prospects paying us a visit at booth #2321. We would like to thank our partners, Intel, Tilera and Napatech, for making these unique and impressive demonstrations possible.
Interest in Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) as an embedded service has truly come of age, and it is no longer viewed as a nice-to-have by security vendors and network hardware and software manufacturers alike. The ability to recognize sophisticated protocols, such as anonimizers, requires in-depth protocol knowledge as well as a keen sense of history. As the many evasion techniques employed by some applications build on alternate techniques used elsewhere, or within the same release tree, the lens of time is a powerful ally in cracking the code. Many of the security-minded folks who stopped by to chat reflected on the complexities of staying current in this unique domain.
At Procera, we have devoted ourselves to perfecting the latest detection and recognition techniques in the industry. Unlike other companies who dabble in either the embedded or premise space, Procera has healthy businesses in both realms. NAVL is a recognized leader for the embedded OEM market while Packetlogic holds a similar leadership position in the premise-based DPI space. These two views expose Procera to the very latest twists and turns that application traffic has to offer. Combined with our unique automation capabilities for recognizing and testing new traffic types and their many incantations, Procera has truly established the upper hand with our ability to accurately identify traffic. We can look at and synthesize a problem from several angles, and our customers and prospects benefit from that.
Those who visited us at RSA were able to experience this first hand. And many did, much to their satisfaction. Of those who made it by our booth, our sincerest thanks for your interest, and for those of you that are interested in meeting with us at Interop in Las Vegas, you can visit us at booth #550, April 1st-3rd. For more info or to set up a meeting at Interop, visit: proceranetworks.com/about/events. We look forward to seeing you there!
