It’s no secret that we are proud of our innovative research team here at Procera. Earlier this year we launched our ScoreCard solution to the market and the customer reaction has been awesome. Presenting ScoreCard to a customer is a joy because it takes something that is critical in today’s competitive market and boils it down to the core essence for broadband operators: “Am I delivering a good experience to my subscribers?”
We are now well past that initial stage and deployments are ongoing. The industry is also sitting up and taking notice. At the LTE Asia event in Singapore this week, we were awarded “Best Test and Measurement Solution” for ScoreCard by a distinguished panel of analysts covering the mobile market in Asia. And it is a very pretty award.
But enough of the bragging.
The LTE Asia conference is one I love to attend each year, because I learn something new every year – a new trend, a new problem, or a new opportunity. My favorite part of my job is getting to travel around the world, talk to customers, hear what their issues are - and then try to figure out how I can help them. The customers in the region are thought leaders in advanced use cases for broadband technology, especially in the mobile market. The use cases range from clever ways to minimize cost in low-ARPU markets, to finding innovative ways to monetize high-value markets.
The key to being able to innovate is having the right data – and then taking advantage of it cost effectively. My speaking session at LTE Asia talked about how operators can get the RIGHT data on the subscriber experience that is being delivered to their users, cost effectively through virtualization, and turn that into mobile policies that enhance their service portfolios. I have become a bit maniacal on the subject lately and I am convinced through the work we are doing with our customers that there is a good solution to the data acquisition problem for operators
