Comcast Selects Sandvine's New Congestion Management Solution

Waterloo, Canada; September 22, 2008 –Sandvine, (TSX:SVC; AIM:SAND) a leading provider of intelligent broadband network solutions for Cable, DSL, FTTx, fixed wireless and mobile operators, today confirmed that Comcast Corporation, the nation’s leading provider of entertainment, information and communications, has selected Sandvine’s Congestion Management for Fairshare solution. Comcast’s selection of the solution was documented in certain recent filings made by Comcast with the Federal Communications Commission. Terms of the agreement have not yet been finalized but Sandvine anticipates that commercial deployment of the product will commence sometime in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008.

Sandvine’s Congestion Management for Fairshare solution was recently named a finalist for the highly  prestigious International Engineering Consortium (IEC) InfoVision Awards in the category of Access Network Technologies and Services.
