Account Manager

United States

Reporting to the Regional VP Sales, U.S. you will be responsible for achieving revenue goals and building relationships within all layers of Broadband Service Providers for Named Accounts in the U.S.  This position could be based anywhere in the United States – North or Northeast is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Identification and development of new opportunities for Sandvine products and services.
• Achievement of revenue targets.
• Creation of strategic business plans for targeted accounts.
• Understand customer environment and Sandvine solution set to deliver appropriate value proposition and business case for targeted customers.
• Understand competitive positioning and threats to effectively compete versus key competitors.
• Manage SE activities in support of above.
 

• Proven history of success managing and negotiating large deals.
• Prior Account Management experience leveraging Sr. level contacts across multiple organizations within Broadband Service Provider Accounts in the above region
• Exceeded pre-defined sales quotas with a minimum of 5 - 10 years product & service based sales experience.
• High energy, self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to work independently
• Understanding of Carrier technologies,--Wireless, DSL, Telephony, Cable, LAN, WAN, Policy management
• Understanding of Broadband Service Provider Market including experience working with Marketing/Product organizations and generating a relevant business case
• Must have experience handling multi-million $ quotas and creating strategic business plans and competitive strategy for assigned accounts.
• Responsible for accurate business reporting (weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting)
• Understanding of tier 1/2 service provider organizations and their buying cycles is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to travel within this region.
• Candidates must be highly motivated and able to sell large ticket solutions at all levels. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience and relationships calling on AT&T, MetroPCS, Cricket all considered a plus.
