RFP Response Coordinator

Description

As a member of the Consulting Solutions team, you will join Sandvine’s RFP bid coordination team to lead the preparation of RFP responses in collaboration with other bid coordinators, product management, global account teams, and Consulting Solutions technical resources.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage and prepare Request for Proposals (RFP) bid responses including providing professional responses and taking complete responsibility for ensuring completion and submission of the RFP response. This process includes the following:
  • Organizing and scheduling multiple simultaneous RFP responses on tight schedules and under elevated pressure
  • Organizing kickoff, status updates and post mortem calls/meetings for multiple RFP responses
  • Analyzing RFP requirements and assigning specific sections/questions to the appropriate internal resources throughout different groups       within the organization
  • Authoring 50% of the RFP response based on the combination of information gathered from internal database tools and acquired knowledge of the Sandvine solutions
  • Reviewing and copy-editing 90% of the RFP, and taking full ownership for the structure, style, and overall quality of the delivered document
  • Update and maintain a database of answers and FAQs for RFP responses and technical questions from Sales and Marketing
  • Proofread RFP responses provided by different groups within the organization
  • Author and review technical sales collateral documentation including white papers and application notes
    Review collateral documentation including statement of work, technical proposals and deployment documentation for consulting projects

Skills

  • Degree in related field (Journalism/English/Technical Writing or Technical Field)
  • Previous experience with participating in RFP response process or expertise on writing networking/computer marketing collateral is an asset
  • 2 – 5 years of experience with very rapid structured document writing in the Telecommunications/Networking field
  • Previous position in a telecommunications equipment/software vendor or internet service provider is an asset
  • Expertise with document structure, information mapping, styles and templates (MS Word), grammar and spelling is an absolute must
  • Microsoft Word super-user – candidate must understand advanced MS Word functions beyond typical use
  • Microsoft office experience (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with creating technical/network diagrams, flow charts with Microsoft Visio or similar tools is an asset
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the team (engineering, sales, product marketing, senior management)
  • Able to work both independently (self-starter) and as part of a team
  • Adhere to corporate standards & in-house technical writing standards
  • Ability to introduce process and document improvement changes seamlessly 
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
