Description

** This position could be located in Waterloo or Toronto. **     ** Two positions available **

In this position, you will be working with technology experts and domain Architect's to position architectures for Customers. You will be responsible for creating strategic frameworks for the consistent design, construction and operation of networks to achieve a desired set of business outcomes for our customer. Using specific customer environments and business processes, you will be critical in taking a customer's Current State (technical and business), helping to create a Target Architecture, Identify Gaps and define transition roadmaps on how our customers can get from their Current State to the Target Architecture.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Guiding and assisting account teams in building solutions to address specific customer needs
  • Working with the technology/marketing experts, help the account team in positioning the solution against the competing solutions
  • Providing specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for major account opportunities.
  • Understanding customer business/technical requirements, network architecture, etc. and being the liaison with corporate
  • Understanding and articulating Sandvine’s Architectures and Services.
  • Driving identified major account opportunities (i.e. technical consulting, technical presentations, and Sandvine technology solution consulting) while allowing local account team to maintain long-term ownership.
  • Working with broadband service provider's network engineering teams to integrate the Sandvine components enabling the activation of Traffic Management, Fair Usage Policies and Billing/Charging solutions.
  • Coaching and assisting service provider's network planning and marketing departments throughout the process of defining residential and business service offersings based on Sandvine solutions set capabilities.

Skills

  • BS or MS (or equivalent degree) degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 4-7 years experience in Data communication industry with operator network (Cable, DSL or Wireless) knowledge.   Good understanding of end-to-end network call flows
  • Well versed with IP protocols like AAA (RADIUS or DIAMETER), tunnelling protocols like GRE or IPSec or MPLS or GTP
  • Exposure to application concepts like P2P, VoIP, WAP, MMS,
  • Understanding of charging and billing concepts are an added advantage
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer interaction skills
  • Technical knowledge and consultative skills, which are above reproach
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Self starter with the ability to identify and complete work without supervision
